Our client is a leading energy infrastructure business in Australia, responsible for managing and operating a high-voltage transmission network that connects generators, distributors, and major industrial customers.

With a focus on innovation and grid transformation, they are actively investing in projects that enhance network capacity, integrate renewable energy sources, and support the decarbonization of the energy sector.

We’re partnering seeking an experienced Corporate Finance Director (or Corporate Development Director) to play a pivotal role in overseeing investment strategy and corporate valuation across a complex, high-impact network operation.

This is a rare opportunity to influence long-term value creation and optimise capital structure in a business critical to Australia’s infrastructure future. You’ll be working closely with senior leadership to shape the financial strategy and support major investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning and managing the corporate valuation model and quarterly updates
  • Leading the investment governance process and financial modelling standards
  • Structuring investment deals and developing cases in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Supporting capital allocation and funding strategies aligned to long-term planning
  • Providing strategic insights and financial analysis to inform major projects and transactions
  • Engaging with stakeholders, including external advisors and securityholders

 

We’re Looking For:

  • Strong experience in corporate finance, M&A, or corporate development within infrastructure, energy, or capital-intensive sectors
  • Exceptional financial modelling skills with a deep understanding of capital markets and valuation
  • Proven ability to manage investment governance processes and drive commercial outcomes
  • Comfortable engaging with C-suite stakeholders and external partners
