Platinum Pacific Partners client is a specialist boutique investment manager with expertise in securities and derivative products. The firm is an established investment manager and been in the market for 20 years creating long term wealth for a broad range of investors, both domestically and offshore by seeking out niche asset classes.


This recently established position, resulting from expansion, partners closely with the MD and COO and is a diverse role across compliance, risk management, governance, legal matters, documentation, and marketing/investor relations. The role can be fully hybrid, part-time (preferable), or full-time. Depending on capabilities and interests, the role can be further expanded to include broader exposure across the group adding further value to the Managing Director and Chief Operations Officer.


Key responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to:

  • Attaining a thorough grasp of the operational processes supporting the business
  • Primary focus on legal and compliance matters, and on marketing / investor relations
  • Diversity of legal related work (range of contracts, dealing with counterparties, general commercial issues, etc) and diversity of compliance work (with the benefit of leveraging Regal where relevant)
  • Building on existing frameworks, policies, and procedures
  • Managing communications and building long-term strategic relationships with investors (including organising and attending client meetings)
  • Marketing collateral management including client presentations, factsheets, DDQs
  • Assist with HR related matters and general company secretarial duties
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of a range of financial instruments, with a focus on derivatives such as futures and options, OTC and physical contracts, foreign exchange and more


Skills & Experience:

  • To be successful in this role, you will have 5 plus years’ experience in financial services, ideally from within funds management
  • Looking for someone with skills and background in one key duties area (not all required), but with a willingness or desire to stretch into other areas
  • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline such as Finance, Business, Law
  • Broad working knowledge of Australian financial services regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Accomplished relationship manager, proven in a client facing capacity
  • Exposure to investor relations or client service from within a funds management environment beneficial
  • Proven experience with presentations with PowerPoint skills and/or exposure to marketing / communications welcomed
