ABOUT THE COMPANY & ROLE
Platinum Pacific Partners has a longstanding exclusive partnership with a leading global infrastructure firm based in Sydney. The firm has a long-term presence and commitment to both private and listed markets and is currently seeking a newly created Portfolio Analyst.

The firm is renowned for its performance, reputation, and culture. This is a diverse and pivotal role that has been newly created. As a Portfolio Analyst, you will be key in supporting the firm’s Infrastructure and Utilities funds, work in partnership with the investment, finance, tax, legal, and investor relations teams to ensure a comprehensive whole-of-fund perspective. This role works very closely with the investment team and involves many touchpoints that will require you to work across data, finance, analytics, reporting, valuations, and governance.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Work with the investment team to build and maintain an investment database.
• Review investment data and performance returns presented to clients in collaboration with the finance team.
• Develop and maintain a fund model to analyse fund liquidity (capital availability, drawdowns, and distributions), performance projections, and conduct fee analysis.
• Assist asset teams in constructing and maintaining a portfolio model for portfolio construction analysis.
• Provide input to the finance team on hedging programs, refinancing NAV facilities, debt drawdowns, pricing, and distributions.
• Support valuer engagements and evaluations.
• Facilitate the valuation process alongside the investment team, including coordinating presentations to valuation, asset management, and investment committees.
• Work with both the investment and investor relations teams to bring an investment-focused perspective to the creation and review of quarterly investment reports.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• A strong academic background with a bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, economics, business, finance, engineering, or related equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience, ideally in an investment management environment, but candidates with experience in asset management, accounting, or FP&A will also be considered.
• Experience in financial modelling, including reading and interpreting data, will be essential.
• Proven experience in accounting principles and financial concepts, with the ability to comprehend key value drivers of portfolio assets.
• Well-developed communication skills and prior experience in analysing and presenting data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• A creative and rational approach to problem-solving.
