Our client has a long history within the Australian lending market and is an Australian-grown, private business with large pools of capital and strong relationships across the country. The business is highly entrepreneurial with a diversified pool of assets across real assets and non-bank lending. Commercial Real Estate is a major part of the business.

Due to growth in demand from clients as well as new pools of capital the team is seeking to hire new origination Directors into the Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane offices. The role will suit candidates who are hungry, driven and organised. The environment is fast-paced and high-performing and requires candidates who flourish in this type of environment.

The firm operates in the small to upper middle market with ticket sizes ranging from $20 – $200mio in size. The firm has a range of wholesale and institutional investor products meaning that FUM is growing weekly and they are in active deployment mode. The team can structure senior-secured through to mezz in some cases.

Successful candidates will likely be working in a loan origination, property financing or relationship management role within a bank or fund. The candidate should have a successful track record as a key deal-maker. They should be able to highlight clear closing ability and a strong book of relationships across the property developer market in Australia. Candidates should be confident at all elements of execution and portfolio management for loans, as well as structuring and pricing debt. Given this is an origination role, the candidate should be comfortable in a business development capacity but also technically competent to structure and advise clients on their best outcome.
