Our client is an Australian boutique fund manager operating in the private credit market since 2018. The firm focuses on growth capital to corporate cashflow businesses across the country, assisting borrowers through periods of strategic growth. This could be related to M&A activity, new product launch, geographic expansion or other general strategic initiatives. Tickets sizes are generally $10-$50mio in size and our client boasts a strong track record of portfolio performance and health. The team is based across Sydney and Melbourne and in investments is around 15 people including senior originators.
We are seeking new Investment Analysts and Associates who come from a corporate banking, cashflow lending or other corporate private debt strategy for this role. The role will be responsible for deal execution and portfolio management. This includes:
supporting commercial and financial due diligence for new transactions, financial modelling, management interviews, sensitivity analysis, legal discussions, operational DD, drafting credit papers, suggesting terms and covenants and working through legal documentation processes. The role will be responsible for presenting deals to the IC and post lending be the primary contact for borrowers with responsibilities to monitor the portfolio.
The successful candidate will come with a proven work ethic, general curiosity and aptitude for learning. They should have strong academic results and experience in structuring, legal documentation and exposure to transaction management. The candidate will likely have 3 – 5 years’ experience post graduation.
