We are seeking a talented and motivated Corporate Development Associate for a 6-month contract.
Job Description: As a Corporate Development Associate, you will be instrumental in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic financing transactions to assist the group’s expansion into North America. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic transactions.
- Assisting with negotiations with a Canadian financing partner to establish a project financing facility for the group’s North American expansion
- Collaborating with stakeholders across various functions, including external advisors, to prepare documentation such as information memorandums.
- Conducting comprehensive financial analysis and assisting with due diligence to assess financing transactions.
- Managing transaction processes from inception to completion, ensuring smooth integration of acquired assets.
- Preparing high-quality investment proposals and reports for executive review.
The Successful Applicant: We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, or a similar role.
- Proven track record in financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence.
- Experience in the North American market with a major infrastructure fund
- Demonstrating a strong understanding of Canadian investors and the core-plus infrastructure market in Canada
- Exceptional analytical skills and a strong understanding of commercial and strategic considerations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to influence decision-making at all levels.
- Results-driven mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
