Our client is a next generation, institutional multi asset manager with investment strategies across both mid-market Private Equity and Impact Investing. Due to the raise of substantial new capital, a new and exciting role has been created.
The ESG Manager will work with the Head of ESG to provide strategic guidance and support across the fund in developing and implementing their responsible investment strategy. The successful candidate will advise on ESG and impact matters, integrate ESG frameworks into investment decision-making, improve portfolio companies’ ESG performance, enhance the fund’s operational sustainability, produce regular reports, and provide thought leadership on responsible investing. Additionally, the ESG manager will assist in educating the investment teams on industry and regulatory initiatives.
The ideal candidate for this role will have 6-8 years of relevant experience ideally with 2+ years in Responsible Investing / ESG, preferably in investment or asset management or consulting. They should possess a strong understanding of social and environmental sustainability, practical knowledge of industry frameworks and regulations, and relevant academic qualifications. Additionally, they should have excellent stakeholder management, strategic thinking, communication skills, and leadership experience.
