Our client is an international boutique equity fund manager which is employee owned. They specialise in managing concentrated high-quality equity portfolios and have significant track record and tenure in the Australian investment landscape. This fund is a signatory to the United Nations Principles of Responsible Investment (PRI) and a member of the Responsible Investment Association of Australasia (RIAA). As such and due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Data Analyst to the team.

The ESG analyst will play an integral role analysing ESG-related data to support sustainable investing initiatives, decision-making and communication. You’ll be working very closely with the new Head of Responsible Investment to gather and present data insights that support the delivery and implementation of the responsible investment program, as well as key corporate sustainability initiatives. You will conduct quantitative and qualitative ESG analysis at asset and portfolio level to identify trends, patterns, and metrics, ultimately assisting with the management of this important data and how this effects the overall fund obligations.

We are very keen to engage with candidates that have between 1-3 years’ experience garnered from financial services, capital markets, IT or sciences backgrounds. Alongside bringing an undergraduate degree in Finance, Data Science, Mathematics, IT or science, you will possess a passion for ESG and possess strong data analytics skills, which include Excel, Python, R, or SQL. Furthermore, we are seeking candidates with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Interpersonally you will be proactive and enthusiastic in nature and enjoy working in this dynamic high-performing team.
