We are exclusively working with an Australian waste management and recycling company headquartered in Sydney, with a strong presence across Melbourne. They provide a range of services including residential and commercial waste management, recycling solutions, and bin manufacturing.

We are currently seeking an Analyst / Associate in M&A and Transformation team. Reporting to the Head of M&A and Transformation, this role is pivotal in driving our organization’s growth by optimizing pricing strategies and improving operational processes.

The Analyst / Associate will play a key role in maximizing revenue, enhancing profitability, and ensuring market competitiveness. By leveraging data-driven analysis, the Associate will enable informed pricing decisions, capitalize on market opportunities, and contribute to sustainable growth. Additionally, this role will foster cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that pricing strategies align with overall business objectives, thus supporting the long-term success of the company.

The role involves ownership of the P&L, delivering sales and profit in line with budget commitments, and driving profitable growth. It also focuses on enhancing customer satisfaction and retention through exceptional service delivery. You will be responsible for maintaining a transaction universe, developing financial models, supporting M&A transactions, and ensuring smooth transitions to business-as-usual operations. Additionally, the role requires maintaining a detailed corporate model, improving pricing strategies, and enhancing operational efficiency.

We seek candidates with a relevant degree in Business, Applied Finance, Accounting, or Commerce, and expertise in financial modelling using Excel. The ideal candidate will have over 2-6 years of experience in a similar role within a corporate environment or in investment banking, advisory, management consulting, or a Big Four accounting firm.

Experience in financial/commercial analysis, data analytics, and M&A deals are essential. The successful candidate will have strong written communication skills, demonstrated experience in collaborative processes, and the ability to work flexibly in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
